Working Visit of President Rodrigo Roa Duterte
to Hong Kong, Special Administrative Region
May 12- 13, 2017

President Rodrigo Roa visits Hong Kong in between his attendance to the World Economic Forum in Cambodia and the Belt and Road Forum in Beijing, China to meet hundreds of Filipinos working and residing in the Chinese special administrative region.

The visit of the President is an opportunity to personally hear their concerns and ensure that their rights and welfare are protected and promoted.

Around 210,000 Filipinos make up the community in Hong Kong and most of them work as household service workers or in the hotel industry.

He leaves for Beijing right after Hong Kong to join in China’s BRF for International Cooperation from May 14 to 15, 2017.
