President Rodrigo Roa Duterte condoled with the bereaved family of Cpl. Nilo R. Donato, Jr. in a wake visit after his meeting with the officials and soldiers of the 102nd Infantry Brigade (102IB) in Ipil, Zamboanga Sibugay.

Cpl. Donato was one of the 10 casualties in the accidental air strike in Marawi City last May 31, 2017. The Armed Forces of the Philippines (AFP) already ordered an investigation on the said incident.

During the wake visit, President Duterte awarded the Posthumous Award to the family of the late soldier.
