St. Peter’s Memorial Chapel, Panacan, Davao City

President Rodrigo Roa Duterte visited the wake of 2Lt. Miguel Victor Alejo at the St. Peter’s Memorial Chapel in Panacan, Davao City.

The 2nd lieutenant was killed in an attack that occurred at Sitio Paliwason in Barangay Lambog, Manay, Davao Oriental on February 1, 2017.

According to the progress report provided by the 10th Infantry Division, 2Lt. Alejo and the elements of the 67th Infantry Battalion (IB) were conducting a community security visitation as response to a report of massive extortion, intimidation, and harassment in the area. The group was harassed by approximately 30 lawless armed groups.

President Duterte expressed his condolences and handed over cash assistance to the family of the departed soldier.
