President Ferdinand R. Marcos Jr. handed over financial assistance to wounded-in-action (WIA) soldiers currently admitted in the Battle Casualty Ward at Camp Brigadier General Gonzalo H. Siongco, 6th Infantry Division (6ID), Philippine Army (PA) Headquarters located in Barangay Awang, Datu Odin Sinsuat, Maguindanao del Norte.

Accompanied by Major General Alex Rillera (Commander, 6ID, PA), the Commander-in-Chief distributed cash checks worth PhP100,000 each to the seven (7) wounded-in-action soldiers from recent operations against the Bangsamoro Islamic Freedom Fighters (BIFF) in Datu Saudi Ampatuan, Maguindanao del Sur on April 22, 2024.

The financial assistance was received by the following soldiers: 2nd Lieutenant Knigle Bastian, Sergeant Oliver Lanestosa, Private First Class Gerald Alawin, Private First Class Michael Composo, Private Jay-R Alocada, Private First Class Jereco Watil and Staff Sergeant Rold Romualdo.
