President Rodrigo Roa Duterte conferred the Order of Lapu-Lapu with the Rank of Kampilan to five (5) Wounded-In-Action (WIA) soldiers currently admitted at the Metro Davao Medical and Research Center (MDMRC) in Davao City.

The wounded soldiers are presently getting medical treatment at the MDMRC after its clash with the members of the Bangsamoro Islamic Freedom Fighters (BIFF) and the New People’s Army (NPA) in Maguindanao and Davao Oriental last November 9, 15 and 18, 2019 respectively.
