President Rodrigo Roa Duterte condoled with the bereaved families of the fallen soldiers who died in two (2) bombing incidents that occurred in a military command post in Indanan, Sulu during his visit to the Camp Navarro General Hospital inside the Western Mindanao Command (WESMINCOM) Headquarters in Zamboanga City.

The President vowed for justice for PFC Dominique Inte and PFC Recarte Alban, Jr. as he awarded the Order of Lapu-Lapu with the Rank of Kalasag (posthumous) to the killed-in-action (KIA) soldiers through their respective families.

Likewise, the Commander-in-Chief rendered his salute as he accorded the Order of Lapu-Lapu with the Rank of Kampilan to the soldiers who were injured during the bombing incident, namely SSgt. Ferdinand Clemente, SSgt. Marlon Domingo, Sgt. William Andreade, Sgt. Ryan Ferrer, Sgt. Richard Tudla, Sgt. Mark Joseph Mamingcol, Sgt. Jykyl Bautista, Cpl. Serto Bagni, Cpl. Rommel Soliman, PFC John Angelo Carpio, PFC Ralph Sabroso, and PFC Dariel Bolivar.

President Duterte handed cash assistance, a mobile phone, and a wristwatch to each of the injured soldiers, as well as to the families of the deceased soldiers. Additionally, a gun certificate was given to the wounded government troops.
