Bonifacio Naval Station Mortuary, Taguig City

After meeting with a number of soldiers wounded in various battles, President Benigno S. Aquino III proceeded to the wake of two fallen marine corps at the mortuary of the Bonifacio Naval Station in Taguig City.
The President held a brief dialogue with the families of Sgt. Francis Jeffel Flores, PN and Cpl. Josen Mias, PN, who were members of the Special Operations Platoon of the 8th Marine Battalion Landing Team (MBLT). Both soldiers died during an encounter with more or less 70 armed members of the Bangsamoro Islamic Freedom Fighters (BIFF) in Mamasapano, Maguindanao.
