Under PhilHealth’s newest expanded package, children who have undergone kidney transplant are entitled to received PhP73,065 monthly for immunosuppressive medications during the first year and PhP41,150 monthly for subsequent years, with an additional benefit of up to PhP45,570 monthly for drug prophylaxis or antibiotics to prevent infections.
“But in any case, until we improve the situation in our children’s diets, our people’s diets, we are here, the PhilHealth is here, the government is here, and we recognize the needs of our sick na kababayan, na may karamdaman na kababayan, ay para naman ay lahat ng kanilang pangangailangan ay matutugunan ng ating PhilHealth at saka ng ating mga facilities kagaya nitong NKTI,” President Marcos Jr. concluded in his statement.
