President Ferdinand R. Marcos Jr. assured his countrymen that the government would continue to provide aid to the victims of recent disasters and support Filipinos who are most in need when he visited the Manila Boys’ Town Complex to distribute gift packs to its residents.

“Tuluy-tuloy ang aming tulong sa inyo. Tuluy-tuloy ang aming pag-alala sa inyo. Huwag niyo pong isipin, kahit na sandali, na kayo’y hindi na iniisip. Lagi po kayo nasa isip namin…Lahat po ng ating, ating ginagawa para patuloy po na matupad iyang aming panalangin na lahat ng, ng Pilipino ay masasabi namin, masasabi naman nila, masasabi nating lahat eh naramdaman natin yung Christmas spirit,” the President said in his remarks.

Noting the significance of the Christmas season to Filipinos, he expressed his wish for a joyful and prosperous Yuletide season despite the calamities that hit the nation and reiterated his Administration’s continued support for the victims toward full recovery.

“Sa harap ng mga dinaanan natin, may mga bagyo, may mga sunog. Pero Pilipino tayo at sanay tayo sa ganyan. Kahit na, na natisod tayo nang konti, tatayo ulit at tatayo at maglalakad ulit,” the Chief Executive emphasized.

During the program, the President was treated to dance performances by the Manila Boys’ Town kids before handing over gift packages of essential supplies such as blankets, towels, toiletries and snack packs to 15 beneficiaries representing the elderly, persons with special needs and children. Likewise, 30 sacks of rice and various medicines were provided.

“Huwag niyo pong iisipin na hindi kayo namin inaalala. At kung anuman ang pangangailangan ninyo, nandiyan po ang ating mga local government officials. Nandiyan po ang ating DSWD. At kami’y nandito lang naman po upang magserbisyo sa inyo,” President Marcos Jr. concluded in his message.
