President Rodrigo Roa Duterte’s common-law wife, Madame Cielito ‘Honeylet’ Avanceña, visited the Kantha Bopha IV Children’s Hospital in Phnom Penh as part of the spouses program during the World Economic Forum (WEF) on ASEAN (Association of Southeast Asian Nations) 2017 held in the Kingdom of Cambodia.

The hospital is one of the five children hospitals located in Phnom Penh and Siem Reap that provides free of charge treatment to over 500,000 children per year.

The hospital was founded by Dr. Richner, a doctor sent by the Swiss Red Cross to Cambodia in 1974. Currently, all five children hospitals are funded by benefactors from Switzerland and Cambodia.
