President Benigno S. Aquino III witnessed the turnover of checks for Debris Management Project by the Department of Interior and Local Government (DILG) to the provinces of Davao Oriental and Compostela Valley that were severely devastated by Typhoon Pablo (Bopha) in December 2012.

Interior Secretary Manuel ‘Mar’ Roxas II led the turnover of checks amounting to P51-million for Debris Management Fund; P26-million for the Province of Davao Oriental and P25-million for the Province of Compostela Valley. These will go to rehabilitation projects identified by the Resettlement Cluster under Task Force Pablo.

Davao Oriental Provincial Governor Corazon Malanyaon and Compostela Valley Provincial Governor Arturo Uy accepted the checks.
