“Hangad ko po ang inyong tagumpay. Kakambal nito ay ang aking panawagan na sana po ay mapalawig pa ninyo ang mga pagkakataon at oportunidad na nasa inyong harapan,” remarked President Ferdinand R. Marcos Jr. during the Trabaho sa Bagong Pilipinas event organized by the Department of Labor and Employment (DOLE) and the Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD) at the New City Hall in Tagum City, Davao del Norte.

In his message, President Marcos Jr. emphasized that the government’s commitment to serving the people is as steadfast as true love that is complete and committed.

“Alam niyo po, ang serbisyo namin sa gobyerno, tulad ng pagmamahal — buo, kumpleto at hindi nang-iiwan,” he said.

He pointed out that the job fair is designed not only to help applicants secure employment but also to provide essential government services in one venue, ensuring that job seekers have access to necessary documents and support.

He cited the recent launch of the Trabaho sa Bagong Pilipinas last January that saw more than 9,000 applicants participate wherein over 1,000 were hired on the spot, including 95 Pantawid Pamilyang Pilipino Program (4Ps) beneficiaries.

The Chief Executive also highlighted the importance of job matching, stressing that employment should align with individuals’ skills and expertise. This strategy, he said, ensures that Filipino workers are placed in positions where they can excel and contribute productively and significantly to their industries.

“Sa ating pagsusumikap at malasakit sa kapwa, tiwala ako na makakamit natin ang isang mas maunlad, produktibo, at progresibong Bagong Pilipinas,” President Marcos Jr. concluded in his speech.
