Trece Martires City, Cavite
24 February 2012
President Benigno S. Aquino III led the symbolic turnover ceremony of 1,500 house and lot packages to 750 policemen and 750 soldiers at the Ciudad Adelina 2 in Trece Martires City, Cavite. This completes the distribution of the total 21,800 housing units of the AFP and PNP Housing Project that was promised by the President in February 25, 2011.
He declared that the housing project will be continuously implemented by his administration to benefit the enlisted men of the national defense, as well as the other frontliners of security, peace and order, who sacrifice their lives for the country.
Furthermore, the President said that he is doing his best to give back what is due to the armed forces and the national police through the different projects and programs being implemented by the government like the provision of state-of-the-art facilities and equipment through the AFP Modernization Program.
The 21,800 housing project is distributed in Bulacan (9,000 units), Laguna (4,274 units), Cavite (4,526 units) and Rizal (4,000 units). The community includes a 50-classroom school building, health center, livelihood center and police action center.
