Heroes Hall, Malacañan Palace
April 3, 2025
Jubilant preschoolers from the Manila Child Development Center gathered before President Ferdinand R. Marcos Jr. as he read them a children’s book during a meet-and-greet session at the Heroes Hall in Malacañan Palace.
Accompanied by his two personal dogs, ‘Tegui’ (a Labrador) and ‘Lucky’ (a Pomeranian), the President read to them a story entitled ‘Ang Limang Tuta’ written by Eugene Y. Evasco and illustrated by Almar Denso. It is a heartwarming tale about kindness and compassion for animals, showing that no one is too young to make a difference in someone’s life.
The event served as a precursor to the ceremonial signing of the Joint Circular on the Establishment of Child Development Centers (CDCs) by the Local Government Units (LGUs). This initiative aims to improve access to early childhood care and development facilities, particularly in underserved communities, to effectively address existing gaps in early childhood development.
Following the meet-and-greet session, the preschoolers, along with their parents and teachers, were treated to a tour of Malacañan Palace.
