State Visit of
President Benigno S. Aquino III to
Tokyo, Japan
2-5 June 2015
President Benigno S. Aquino III will be on a State Visit to Tokyo from 2-5 June 2015 upon the invitation of the Government of Japan.
During his stay, President Aquino will be received by their Majesties, Emperor Akihito and Empress Michiko, at the Imperial Palace for a Welcoming Ceremony and a State Call.
Likewise, a State Banquet awaits President Aquino during his trip in Japan.
Aside from the state ceremonies, President Aquino will hold a meeting with Prime Minister Shinzo Abe where they are expected to discuss the “enhancement of the Philippines-Japan Strategic Partnership and exchange views on recent regional developments.”
The Chief Executive is also scheduled for a series of calls and meetings with different business executives that aim to further boost the economic and bilateral relations of the two countries.
