President Benigno S. Aquino III’s State Visit
to Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia

February 27-28, 2014

 

 

President Benigno S. Aquino III is set for a State Visit in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia to fortify the existing bilateral relations of Philippines and Malaysia in the sectors of politics, economy, trade and investment and people-to-people ties.

The President is scheduled to have a bilateral meeting with His Excellency Mohd Najib Bin Tun Abdul Razak, the Prime Minister of Malaysia. In an earlier press conference, President Aquino mentioned that among the agenda to be discussed during the meeting is the intervention of the Malaysian government in the success of the Bangsamoro Framework Agreement. He will also join His Majesty The Yang di-Pertuan Agong Abdul Halim in a state banquet.

One of the main highlights of the President’s state visit is his attendance at the inauguration of a new Petron gasoline station in Kuala Lumpur and to speak before the Malaysian trade community in a business forum.
