President Ferdinand R. Marcos Jr. convened a meeting with his cabinet members, regional directors and local chief executives to discuss the aftermath of the recent 6.8 magnitude earthquake that hit parts of Mindanao, as he presided over a situation briefing in General Santos City.

During the meeting, the President listened intently to the reports and evaluated the actions taken by the local government units (LGUs) in response to the effects of the earthquake in their areas. These included the proposals to address disaster-related issues that surround infrastructure and agriculture sectors.

Moreover, President Marcos Jr. urged all agencies to continue providing assistance and closely monitor the situation to ensure that the affected individuals receive the necessary support and resources. His message underscored the critical need for continued efforts in the aftermath of the earthquake to mitigate the impact on the affected communities.
