President Ferdinand R. Marcos Jr. engaged in a discussion with the local chief executives of Occidental Mindoro and key officials of regional line agencies addressing the effects of El Niño and providing a long-term solution during a situation briefing at Barangay San Roque in the Municipality of San Jose.

Key topics included the current status of Occidental Mindoro as an agricultural Province declared under a state of calamity due to El Niño and under a state of power crisis. Plans for potential irrigation system development and power plant initiatives were also on the agenda.

President Marcos Jr. reassured local leaders of the government’s unwavering commitment to offering essential aid in mitigating the impacts of El Niño.

Additionally, he emphasized the Administration’s dedication to implementing long-term solutions in anticipation of the unavoidable consequences of climate change.

“Maganda ang takbo, so far, ng pagdating (at) pagpadala ng tulong na ginagawa ng ating mga iba’t ibang departamento at we will continue all of this,” the Chief Executive remarked.
