President Rodrigo Roa Duterte and Chinese Premier Li Keqiang witnessed the signing of 14 agreements between China and the Philippines in Malacañan Palace.

The signed agreements covered the treatment of drug dependents in the country, infrastructure projects, rehabilitation of Marawi City, defense and economic cooperation, among others.

After the signing ceremony, the two leaders led the launching of the Binondo-Intramuros and Estrella-Pantaleon Bridges Project, and the Dangerous Drugs Abuse Treatment Rehabilitation Center Project (DDATRC).

The two bridges would play a key role in the improvement of trade and commerce in Metro Manila, as well as help alleviate the traffic condition in the area.

Likwise, the DDATRC to be built in Mindanao would house treatment facilities for locals who are undergoing drug rehabilitation.

President Duterte also hosted a state banquet for the visiting Chinese Premier and his delegation.

The guests were treated to a fusion of Filipino and Chinese dishes such as crispy fish skin with sliced suckling pig and scallops with mango salsa, hototay soup, Chinese style beef tenderloin with Baguio vegetables, coconut milk pudding with mango caviar, vanilla ice cream, and frozen pomelos.
