President Ferdinand R. Marcos Jr. presided over a sectoral meeting on the National Digital Connectivity Plan 2028 at the State Dining Room, Malacañan Palace.

The President issued a directive to the Department of Information and Communications Technology (DICT) to prioritize the delivery of internet connectivity throughout the country, most especially to remote communities in the Philippines.

He emphasized immediate action on connectivity across the nation and cited government plans to support telecommunication companies by opening public facilities, such as local government unit (LGU) offices, to their services.
