Dr. Jose Rizal and his family used to live at Number 2 of Rednaxela Terrace in Mid-levels, Hong Kong when he was working as an eye doctor in the country. In honor of the Philippine National Hero, the Hong Kong government erected a commemorative plaque in 2004 on the intersection of Rednazela Terrace and Shelley Street.
