Briefing on the Cavite-Laguna Expressway Project

After the Philippine National Police (PNP) Change of Command Ceremony, President Benigno S. Aquino III headed to Malacañan Palace for the briefing on the Cavite-Laguna Expressway (CALAX) Project.

The P35.425 billion Cavite-Laguna Expressway is a 44.63 kilometer project that will connect CAVITEX in Kawit, Cavite and SLEX-Mamplasan interchange in Biñan, Laguna. It is expected to cut down travel time between CAVITEX and SLEX from one hour and 30 minutes to only 45 minutes.

Moreover, business tycoon Manuel Pangilinan handed over a check to Public Works and Highways (DPWH) Secretary Rogelio Singson amounting to P5.46 billion.
