Dahil sa pagtutulungan at pakikiisa ng bawat isa sa inyo ay patuloy na uusbong ang kapayapaan at lalong uunlad ang ating bayan,” President Ferdinand R. Marcos Jr. stated in reaffirming the government’s commitment to improve the lives and uphold the welfare of Filipinos across the archipelago, anchored on the Administration’s whole-of-government approach, particularly in the Province of Tawi-Tawi amidst current challenges brought by the El Niño phenomenon.

As he visited the southernmost Province in the country, the President reiterated his strong support towards the development of Tawi-Tawi in terms of infrastructure, livelihood, social development programs and health assistance.

President Marcos Jr. said that the government is currently doing several projects in Mindanao such as the Mindanao Road Sector Project which was inaugurated last year. In Tawi-Tawi, three (3) bridges are now in development to improve the transportation and livelihood of its citizens.

Likewise, government services and various assistance are being delivered in Tawi-Tawi through a two-day Bagong Pilipinas Serbisyo Fair (BPSF). This is made possible through the collaborative efforts of concerned agencies such as the Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD), Department of Labor and Employment (DOLE), Department of Agriculture (DA), and the Department of Trade and Industry (DTI), among others.
