“Ang mga inisyatibang ito ay sumasalamin sa ating pangako na mapabuti ang buhay ng mga mamamayan ng CALABARZON,” President Ferdinand R. Marcos Jr. conveyed as he reaffirmed the Administration’s commitment to intensify efforts to achieve progress and development in Region IV-A under the vision of a ‘Bagong Pilipinas.’

In his message during the distribution of Presidential assistance to farmers, fisherfolk and families in the City of Dasmariñas, the President underscored the crucial role of a whole-of-government approach in the Region in strengthening various sectors that will benefit and promote the welfare of Filipinos in CALABARZON (Cavite, Laguna, Batangas, Rizal and Quezon Province).

On infrastructure, the Chief Executive highlighted several projects that are currently underway and nearing completion, including the LRT Line 1 Cavite Extension Project, the Cavite-Laguna Expressway (Cavite Segment) and the South Luzon Expressway Toll Road 4. These projects are expected to enhance comfort for the Filipino commuters and motorists in the Region. He also mentioned the ongoing Cavite Industrial Area Flood Risk Management Project that will help ease flooding in the Province.

The President emphasized the need to revitalize the agricultural and fisheries sectors in the Region as the government provided more than PhP9 billion to fund the Philippine Rural Development Plan (PRDP) in CALABARZON, which aims to improve and modernize these sectors in Region IV-A.

Moreover, he upheld plans to improve the education sector in the Region as the government allotted PhP4 billion for the construction of more than 1,000 classrooms and scholarship grants to college students amounting to PhP461.64 million.

Likewise, the Chief Executive stressed the need to improve the healthcare system in CALABARZON through continuous funding for the Health Facilities Enhancement Program and the construction of the Northern Tagalog Regional Hospital worth PhP1.62 million and PhP250 million, respectively.

“Tandaan natin na kung ang Cavite ay naging tahanan ng ating mga bayani at kalayaan noon, ito rin ang magiging duyan ng pag-asa at pag-unlad ng ating bansa sa hinaharap nating panahon. Tinatawagan ko po ang lahat ng mga narito ngayon: magtulungan po tayo. Sa sama-samang pagkilos para sa kaunlaran, isang Bagong Pilipinas ang ating makakamtan,” President Marcos Jr. said in concluding his message.
