President Rodrigo Roa Duterte welcomed portrait painter Louie Gordon-Yu Lee as he presented his piece at the Rizal Hall in Malacañan Palace

The portraiture measures 30” in width and 56” in height. Decorated with golden ornate frame, the painting depicts the President smiling in a stand-up position, wearing a Barong Filipino paired with black shoes and black pants, holding a Philippine map in his lowered left hand. The surrounding is set in a grassland with a small body of water and mountains in the background.

Famed for his great attention to detail and use of colors in his portraitures, Louie studied and honed his craftmanship under the tutelage of Filipino painter Romeo Ballada.
