President Ferdinand R. Marcos Jr. received the letters of credence from the Non-Resident Ambassadors to the Philippines of the Republic of Botswana, Republic of Zambia and the People’s Democratic Republic of Algeria in a ceremony at the President’s Hall in Malacañan Palace.
In their respective messages, Ambassador Gotsileene Morake of the Republic of Botswana expressed his joy upon assuming his role as Ambassador and conveyed warm regards from his country. He then reiterated his commitment to fostering strong ties between Botswana and the Philippines.
Subsequently, Ambassador Morecome Mumba of the Republic of Zambia confirmed the presentation of his credentials, marking the formal start of his diplomatic duties to the Philippines.
Ambassador Abdelhafid Bounour of the People’s Democratic Republic of Algeria demonstrated his deep honor at being appointed Ambassador and pledged his support for enhancing bilateral relations. He emphasized the importance of cooperation for the prosperity and progress of both nations, aiming to further strengthen their bonds.
President Ferdinand R. Marcos Jr. reciprocated the sentiments, expressing his honor in receiving the credentials of the esteemed Ambassadors. He conveyed a warm welcome to the envoys, affirming the Philippines’ commitment to continuing and enhancing relations with each respective country.
