President Ferdinand R. Marcos Jr. received the letter of credence of His Excellency Yousef Esmaeil Zadeh, Resident Ambassador-Designate of the Islamic Republic of Iran to the Philippines, during the presentation of credentials in Malacañan Palace.

The President conveyed his warm wishes to the Ambassador for the success of his tour of duty in the Philippines, geared towards the strengthening of longstanding relationship between the Philippines and Iran.

Ambassador Yousef Esmaeil Zadeh assured the Chief Executive that he will do his utmost best to continue building on the friendly relationship and the shared vision for the future between their two countries.

The Philippines and Iran are set to celebrate the 60th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations next year.
