President Rodrigo Roa Duterte received the new Ambassadors-Designate of the Republic of Korea, Tanzania, and Serbia in a series of ceremonies during their presentation of credentials at the Malacañan Palace.

The new envoys, namely H.E. Han Dong-Man, Ambassador-Designate of the Republic of Korea to the Philippines; H.E. Ramadhani Kitwana Dau, Ambassador-Designate of Tanzania to the Philippines, and H.E. Slobodan Marinkovic, Ambassador-Designate of Serbia to the Philippines conveyed their intention to strengthen the bilateral ties between their respective countries.

President Duterte, in turn, welcomed them to the Philippines and expressed his optimism to build a strong and productive diplomatic relations.

The presentation of credentials to the President of the host country is a diplomatic requirement in which the Philippine government formally recognizes an ambassador as the official representative of his or her country.

Department of Foreign Affairs (DFA) Secretary Alan Peter Cayetano and other high-ranking DFA officials accompanied the President during the event.
