President Benigno S. Aquino III attended the premiere of the documentary on the PNP Special Action Force entitled “Tagaligtas” held at AFP Theater, Camp Aguinaldo in Quezon City.

President Aquino together with Former President Fidel V. Ramos, Secretary Hon. Voltaire T. Gazmin,  DILG Secretary Jesse Robredo, AFP Chief of Staff Jessie Dellosa, Special Action Force Co-Founder Renato De Villa and the producer of “Tagaligtas”, Hon. Rafael Alunan III, other government officials, members of the Armed Forces of the Philippines (AFP) and the Philippine National Police (PNP) viewed the One hour documentary which feature the history of the Special Action Force (SAF).

The PC – SAF’s documentary intends not only to raise the public’s trust and confidence in the nation’s law enforcers but also to raise PNP and SAF’s prestige as well.

In his message, President Aquino articulated that government will continue to fight and serve the people which will ensure the success of our country. He further said that the government is working to provide a concrete service to empower the soldiers, the so called “savior”, adding that he will further enhance the capacity and capability of our so called “saviors”

The President also emphasized the importance of documentaries like “Tagaligtas” as it features the show of courage and dedication that each SAF member has to protect the democracy in the country. He also added that such documentaries serves as an inspiration that ignites the patriotism and loyalty to our law enforcers that continually fight for the freedom we all enjoy.
