President Ferdinand R. Marcos Jr. presided over the 2nd Quarter Command Conference for Calendar Year (CY) 2024 at the Philippine Navy (PN) Headquarters in Naval Station Jose Andrada, City of Manila.
The conference focused on the Navy’s support plan for the Comprehensive Archipelagic Defense Concept (CADC) which is crucial for bolstering the nation’s maritime security.
During the Conference, Navy Chief Vice Admiral Toribio Adaci Jr. outlined the current status and future plans of the PN. He emphasized the importance of modernization and capability enhancement in securing the State and enhancing maritime cooperation towards peace and stability in the region.
President Marcos Jr. reaffirmed his commitment to strengthening the Navy’s role in national security, underscoring the need for continuous improvement to meet evolving challenges.
Key military and defense leaders attended the event, including Department of National Defense (DND) Secretary Gilberto Teodoro Jr. and Armed Forces of the Philippines (AFP) Chief of Staff General Romeo Brawner Jr., among others.
