President Rodrigo Roa Duterte watched and listened as Secretary Jesus Dureza of the Office of the Presidential Adviser on the Peace Process (OPAPP) presented a roadmap to peace with the Communist Party of the Philippines (CPP), New People’s Army (NPA), National Democratic Front (NDF) and other radical groups, in a meeting at the Aguinaldo Room of Malacañan Palace.

Afterwards, the President led a meeting with the Peace Process team led by OPAPP Secretary Dureza and Labor and Employment (DOLE) Secretary Silvestre Bello III, who is also the Chairperson of the Government of the Philippines (GPH) Panel Secretariat for Talks with CPP/NPA/NDF.

Also in attendance were Congressman Pantaleon Alvarez, Senator Aquilino Pimentel III, and the Security Cluster on Security, Justice and Peace composed of National Security Adviser (NSA) Secretary Hermogenes Esperon, Foreign Affairs (DFA) Secretary Perfecto Yasay, Justice (DOJ) Secretary Vitaliano Aguirre II, Presidential Communications Office (PCO) Secretary Martin Andanar, Solicitor General (SOLGEN) Jose Calida, Executive Secretary Salvador Medialdea, and Presidential Spokesperson Ernie Abella, among others.
