President Rodrigo Roa Duterte sternly warns political candidates running in the 2022 elections to stop acts of terrorism and follow the rule of law during the Partido Demokratiko Pilipino-Lakas ng Bayan (PDP-Laban) campaign rally in Caloocan City.

“The election has to be peaceful, must be peaceful, a must. Habang Presidente ako, hindi talaga ako payag — I will not allow terrorism,” said President Duterte during his speech.

“Nagwa-warning ako kasi I have to make the elections credible and peaceful. Para naman ito sa inyo,” he added.

During his political party’s proclamation rally, the President described some of the senatorial and guest candidates as individuals of brilliant minds and unyielding principle.

The Chief Executive mentioned some of his Administration’s landmark achievements including the infrastructure programs, reduced crime rate in the country, campaign against illegal drugs, and the government’s fight against communist insurgency, among others.

“Sabi ko may pera tayo taon-taon for six years. Gamitin ninyo ‘yung pera, hatiin ninyo equally all over from Luzon to Mindanao, hati lahat. Kaya makita mo — ewan ko kung nanalo ako dito pero every city, province, mayroon talagang sariling project,” President Duterte remarked.

He reiterated his position on being neutral with regards to the Presidential race and reminded the people of their freedom to choose who to vote for during election day.
