In an effort to drive nationwide transformation towards the vision of ‘Bagong Pilipinas’ and combat the prevalence of fake news, disinformation and misinformation, the Presidential Communications Office (PCO) brings the CommUnity Caravan to Mindanao at the Bukidnon State University in Malaybalay City from March 18 to 19, 2024.

This event marks the Caravan’s first stop in Mindanao since its successful launch in December 2023, and coincides with the State University’s centennial founding anniversary this year. The next stop is scheduled in Cagayan de Oro City within the same week.

On its first day, college students and professors are treated to a media exhibit and live demonstrations by various communications agencies under the PCO, the government’s lead communications arm.

The exhibit showcases multimedia booths from various news agencies and broadcast networks, offering students and professors an in-depth look at the mandates and services provided by each participating agency. This initiative aims to enhance the accessibility of government services for Filipinos.

Furthermore, participants have the opportunity to sign up for on-the-job training (OJT) positions. Individuals with musical talent can also audition for ‘Konsyerto sa Palasyo’ to potentially become the next featured artist serenading the country’s contemporary heroes and the First Family in Malacañan Palace.
