“We come together to recognize achievements and to confront a fundamental truth that communication is one of the foundations of leadership. It is the force that builds nations, inspires movements, and turns ideas into reality,” conveyed President Ferdinand R. Marcos Jr. when he bestowed recognition to government communication agencies and offices in the first-ever ‘Parangal: Gawad ng Kahusayan sa Komunikasyong Pampubliko’ held at the Philippine International Convention Center (PICC) in Pasay City.

Spearheaded by the Presidential Communications Office (PCO), the Award recognized the government offices’ exemplary communication programs and projects covering communication campaigns, media partnerships, community initiatives, innovative outreach programs and exemplary government performance within the same calendar year.

“While these awards recognize your achievements, they are also declarations of leadership standards that enhance public awareness and empower participation in governance,” the President emphasized in his speech, citing the awards given during the program: Public Service Campaign Award, Government Innovation Award, Information Integrity Award, Outstanding Digital Campaign Award and Public Communicator Award.

“Every award tonight tells a story of transformation. These campaigns and voices are proof that communication is the force that makes governance real,” he added.

The PCO underscored that the Award serves as a platform to showcase the best practices in government communication, encouraging agencies to adopt innovative strategies that resonate with citizens. Through this initiative, the PCO aims to inspire a culture of excellence and collaboration among government agencies, ultimately enhancing the public’s awareness and engagement with government programs and services.

“Policies mean nothing if they are not understood. True leadership builds trust not through words alone but through the clarity and conviction that make those words matter,” the Chief Executive said.

“Today, we honor the recipients. Tomorrow, we act with them. Together, we will achieve the Bagong Pilipinas we aspire for. This is our commitment. This is our resolve. This is our future,” President Marcos Jr. ended in his speech.
