Donning the traditional Indonesian batik, President Rodrigo Roa Duterte posed for the official group photo with the leaders from the ten member countries in the Association of Southeast Asian Nations (ASEAN) at the Waterfront of the Grand Gamelan Room in Sofitel Bali Nusa Dua Beach Resort in Bali, Indonesia.

The President joined the Heads of State/Government of Brunei Darussalam, Cambodia, Indonesia, Lao People’s Democratic Republic (PDR), Malaysia, Myanmar, Singapore, Thailand, and Viet Nam, all of whom carried the unified vision of the ASEAN Leaders’ Gathering in ‘Achieving Sustainable Development Goals (SDG) and Overcoming Development Gap through Regional and Global Collaborative Actions’.

Furthermore, one of the objectives of the ASEAN Leaders’ Gathering is to affirm the region’s commitment to provide support to international organizations including the United Nations (UN), International Monetary Fund (IMF), and the World Bank Group (WBG), especially in addressing global developmental challenges.

ASEAN Secretary General Dato Lim Jock Hoi, UN Secretary General António Guterres, IMF Managing Director Christine Lagarde, and WBG President Jim Yong Kim also attended the High-Level event.
