“Nakataya ang inyong mga pangalan at ang pag-asa ng ating mga kababayan sa inyong sinumpaang tungkulin. Huwag nating makakalimutan na ang inyong tungkulin ay para sa isang mas makatarungan at mas maunlad na Bangsamoro,” urged President Ferdinand R. Marcos Jr. during the oath-taking ceremony of the newly appointed Members of Parliament in the Bangsamoro Transition Authority (BTA) at the Heroes Hall in Malacañan Palace.

Addressing the newly appointed BTA Parliament Members, the Bangsamoro Autonomous Region in Muslim Mindanao (BARMM) Government and its stakeholders, President Marcos Jr. expressed confidence and optimism about the progress achieved in the Bangsamoro peace process.

“With you at the helm, I am confident that you will continue to prove that the implementation of every single signed agreement — is a step towards long-lasting peace,” he said, underscoring the crucial role of the Bangsamoro Government in ensuring lasting peace and progress in the Region.

“Nawa’y sa bawat tungkulin na ating ginagampanan, lagi nating isasabuhay ang taglay na mga katangian ng Bagong Pilipino — Bagong Pilipino na may disiplina, may husay, at higit sa lahat, may pagmamahal sa bansa,” President Marcos Jr. concluded.

For his part, the newly appointed Bangsamoro Transition Authority (BTA) Chief Minister Abdulraof Abdul Macacua expressed his gratitude to the President and assured him of the BTA’s unwavering commitment to moral governance, focusing on delivering the best for the Bangsamoro people.

The event concluded with a solemn Iftar celebration that symbolized the unified commitment of Bangsamoro and the Philippine Government to build upon the gains of the peace process and ensure a prosperous future for the Bangsamoro.
