President Ferdinand R. Marcos Jr. officiated the oath-taking ceremony of Secretary Frederick Go, newly appointed Special Assistant to the President for Investment and Economic Affairs, at the Study Room in Malacañan Palace.

On 15 December 2023, the President issued Executive Order (EO) No. 49 creating the Office of the Special Assistant to the President for Investment and Economic Affairs (OSAPIEA) to ensure effective integration, coordination and implementation of the various investment and economic policies and programs of the government.

Before his appointment, Secretary Frederick Go’s career was spent mainly in the private sector as President and Chief Executive Officer of Robinsons Land Corporation, Chairman of RL Commercial REIT, Inc. and Chairman/Vice Chairman of the Luzon International Premier Airport Development (LIPAD) Corp., to name a few.
