On the last day of his visit to Belgium, President Ferdinand R. Marcos Jr. met with the business executives of Unilever to discuss current investment and expansion plans in the Philippines.

According to the Office of the Press Secretary (OPS), Unilever invested heavily in their Philippine factories, aiming to use renewable energy to ensure sustainability.

Unilever is a British multinational consumer goods company based in London, England. The company intends to establish state-of-the-art manufacturing facility for personal care products in Cavite which is expected to generate around PhP4.7 billion in investment and provide employment opportunities to an estimated 130 Filipinos.

The Chief Executive thanked Unilever for its commitment in recent years and pointed out that the company is continuing in that same trend.
