President Ferdinand R. Marcos Jr. reaffirmed his support for the Technical Education and Skills Development Authority’s (TESDA) plans to address funding gaps in critical programs, including the establishment of an Enterprise-Based Training Office and a new Regional Office in the Negros Island Region. Despite TESDA’s 2025 budget increasing to PhP20.73 billion, these initiatives remain unfunded.
During a meeting at Malacañan Palace, the President emphasized the importance of strengthening skills development programs and fostering stronger partnerships with industry leaders to create more employment opportunities for Filipinos.
The President directed TESDA to review its strategies and ensure that these essential projects align with the Administration’s goal of achieving inclusive and sustainable economic growth.
