With the recent water shortage in the eastern part of Metro Manila, President Rodrigo Roa Duterte met with the Metropolitan Waterworks and Sewerage System (MWSS) Board of Trustees at the Music Room in Malacañan Palace.

President Duterte was joined in the meeting by Department of Agriculture (DA) Secretary Emmanuel Piñol, Department of Environment and Natural Resources (DENR) Secretary Roy Cimatu, National Security Council (NSC) Secretary Hermogenes Esperon, Jr., Presidential Spokesperson and Chief Presidential Legal Counsel Secretary Salvador Panelo, and Department of Finance (DOF) Undersecretary for Privatization and Office of Special Concerns Karen Singson.

Manila Water Company President Ferdinand Dela Cruz and Maynilad Water Services President Ramoncito Fernandez were also in attendance.
