President Ferdinand R. Marcos Jr. engaged in a discussion with the officials and executives of Lufthansa Technik Philippines (LTP) in Berlin, Germany.
According to the Department of Trade and Industry (DTI), the President’s meeting with the company centered on productive discussions regarding LTP’s plan to build a second hangar in Clark, Pampanga, valued at US$ 150 million. This is in addition to the company’s existing 23-hectare technical base and hangar facility at the Ninoy Aquino International Airport (NAIA), which was built during the 1980s. Once construction begins, it is expected to employ at least 400 workers.
The DTI further added that LTP currently employs around 2,800 mechanics, engineers and support personnel in the Philippines.
