President Ferdinand R. Marcos Jr. and Mr. Anand Stanley, President and Head of Region of Airbus Asia-Pacific, discussed matters regarding partnerships in strengthening the Philippines’ capabilities in the aerospace sector in a meeting in Berlin, Germany.

According to the Department of Trade and Industry (DTI), the President recognized the Airbus’ willingness to support the Armed Forces of the Philippines’ (AFP) modernization program. He also reassured the government’s commitment in assisting the company in their localization efforts, including its linkages to the country’s electronics and aerospace manufacturing industry.

In return, Airbus reiterated its pledge to help the Philippines build its own in-country defense capabilities and further enhance its joint venture partnership with the Philippine Aerospace Development Corporation (PADC).
