President Benigno S. Aquino III met with former U.S. Ambassador to the Philippines Stephen Bosworth on the final day of his Visit to Boston, Massachusetts.

Ambassador Bosworth served as the U.S. envoy to the country from 1984-1987, and had an extensive career in the United States Foreign Service. Aside from the Philippines, he was also posted as Ambassador to Tunisia (1979-1981) and to the Republic of Korea (1997-2001).

Likewise, he served in a number of senior positions in the Department of State such as Director of Policy Planning and the U.S. Special Representative for North Korea Policy during President Barack Obama’s administration (2009-2011).
