As he continued his Working Visit to the United States of America (USA), President Ferdinand R. Marcos Jr. received former Prime Minister Anthony Charles Lynton Blair of the United Kingdom in a meeting at The Carlyle, A Rosewood Hotel in New York City.

According to the official website of the Government of the UK (www.gov.uk (http://www.gov.uk/)), the former Prime Minister has been the longest serving Labor Prime Minister of the country whose notable accomplishments include overseeing the Northern Irish peace process, public sector reform and the response to terrorist attacks on September 11, 2001 (commonly known as the 9/11) and on July 7, 2005 (also known as the London bombings of 2005 or the 7/7).

The President expressed his condolences on the passing of Queen Elizabeth II. During their light exchange, former Prime Minister Blair shared that he served as the 10th Prime Minister of the late UK monarch.
