President Rodrigo Roa Duterte met with former President Fidel V. Ramos in a closed-door discussion in Malacañan Palace.

In a statement, President Duterte said that they tackled three different issues concerning climate change, peace talks, and foreign relations. He said they exchanged points regarding the treaties on climate change.

Also, the two leaders discussed the involvement of the Moro National Liberation Front (MNLF) Chairman Nur Misuari in the Mindanao peace process.

Moreover, they talked about the possible posting of Filipino diplomats in several countries that President Duterte considers as crucial.
