President Rodrigo Roa Duterte met with children from Marawi City during their Tabak Educational Tour at the Rizal Hall in Malacañan Palace.

President Duterte spoke to the children and promised to visit them in their homes in Marawi once their homes are rebuilt with the help of the Philippine government.

The President also spoke of ridding their city of firearms to establish long-lasting peace and to have the Philippine military forces help in the rebuilding process.

During the program, the children danced to a song dedicated to promote peace in Marawi to the delight of President Duterte.

The Tabak Educational Tour is organized by the Philippine Army’s 1st Infantry Division and Joint Task Force Tawi-Tawi to expose children in conflict areas to peaceful environments for peace building.
