President Rodrigo Roa Duterte wished the candidates for military observer in various United Nations (UN) Peacekeeping Missions good luck in a photo opportunity at Malacañan Palace.

According to the UN Peacekeeping website, the UN Office of Military Affairs recruits highly qualified military officers from UN Member States in its peace missions around the world to promote lasting peace, protect populations against threats, and contribute to a much secure and safer environment.
