Thirty-two new government officials took their oath of office before President Benigno S. Aquino III in Malacañan Palace.

They were from the Office of the President, National Anti-Poverty Commission, Department of Interior and Local Government, Commission on Higher Education, Presidential Management Staff, Department of Agriculture, Department of Labor and Employment, Dangerous Drugs Board and National Commission on Muslim Filipinos.

Former Armed Forces of the Philippines Chief of Staff Gen. Eduardo Oban Jr. was sworn in as a member of the Board of Directors of the Clark Development Corporation together with Ms. Ana Maria Cadena as Assistant Secretary of the Presidential Management Staff, Mr. Emerson Palad as Undersecretary of the Department of Agriculture, Ms. Irene Isaac as TESDA Deputy Director General and Kagan Muslim tribe leader Salem Demuna as one of the commissioners of the National Commission on Muslim Filipinos.

Commissioner Demuna’s daughter, four-year old Sitti Nouf Demuna, stole the limelight when she kissed the President on the cheek during the photo opportunity session.
