“Your graduation today signifies the culmination of your determination, sacrifice, and hard work in overcoming the challenges of becoming an officer of the Armed Forces of the Philippines… This marks the beginning of your role to ensure the defense of our nation and the safety of our people,” President Ferdinand R. Marcos Jr. remarked, emphasizing that the future of the country’s defense and peace firmly lies in the capable hands of the newly graduated Officer Candidates (OC), who are poised to serve the nation.
During the Major Services Officer Candidate Course Joint Graduation Ceremony, the President acknowledged the vital role of the Cadets’ families, friends and loved ones, expressing gratitude for their unwavering love and support which contributed to this achievement.
“We also remember the trainers and mentors who guided all of these graduates on their journey towards becoming officers of the major services of the AFP. The lessons and guidance that you have provided will be light in the challenges that lie ahead before these new officers,” he continued.
He likewise applauded the awardees’ achievements from the three (3) branches of service, highlighting that their successes contribute to nation-building. “May these awards encourage you to excel in your duties and become even more dedicated to serving our beloved Philippines,” he added.
Speaking before the 610 graduates, the Commander-in-Chief reaffirmed his Administration’s commitment to transforming the AFP into a world-class force that serves as a source of national pride and a beacon of strength, resilience and technological excellence.
He reiterated that the national government will continue to invest in talents, specialists and leaders who will bridge the gap between tradition and innovation. These investments include modernizing equipment and enhancing training programs to ensure that the nation’s armed forces are well-equipped to face not only the challenges of today but also of the future.
“Maraming salamat sa pagtanggap sa hamong makapagsilbi sa ating minamahal na Pilipinas. Saan man kayo maitalaga, nawa’y maglingkod kayo nang may kahusayan, katapatan, at karangalan… Together, through solidarity and purpose, we will create a stronger, safer, and more prosperous Bagong Pilipinas,” President Marcos Jr. ended in his speech.
