President Rodrigo Roa Duterte led the launching of National COVID-19 Vaccination Days: Bayanihan, Bakunahan 2021 – the Philippines’ biggest campaign to accelerate COVID-19 inoculation and reach the 70 percent target of population protection nationwide.

Mobilizing around 8,000 vaccination sites across 16 regions all over the archipelago, the Bayanihan, Bakunahan aims to inoculate nine (9) million individuals from 29 November to 1 December 2021.  Another set of three-day vaccination drive will be conducted on 15-17 December 2021 to complete the inoculation of 54 million Filipinos.

The national government and local government units (LGUs) also aim to inoculate 80 percent of minors aged 12-17, as well as to complete the booster shots of persons belonging to the A1 (health workers), A2 (senior citizens) and A3 (persons with comorbidities) categories.

“Today, the entire nation comes together for a massive effort in our national vaccination program against COVID-19 — our three-day National Vaccination Drive,” President Duterte keynoted in his remarks.
